Dear Families:
Welcome to the G’s New Baby Boy!
Born this morning at 11:20 AM All are well.
WASC Update:
A flurry of discussions and late night writing sessions have finally produced our “Focus on Learning” Mid-Term Report. It went in today’s mail to the Visiting Team who will be here in late March. We will have a few copies available on the table in the front hall for your perusal. Please stop in and read it.
AUCTION ITEM FOLLOW-UP:
Attention All 8-12th grade boys!
On Saturday, March 7th, we will be gathering several St. Augustine boys to help the Bs clean up their property. They purchased the “Manpower” service at the Auction in November and would like us to pull weeds and wash windows for them. Several of you have already turned in your permission slips for this event, so we just need a verbal confirmation that you are able to attend. If you would like to participate, but did not turn in a permission slip, you will just need to have your parents sign the form which can be picked up in the office. If the weather is rainy, we may need to reschedule the event. If you are able to participate on March 7th from 8:30-1:00pm, please contact Mrs. L.
BASKETBALL – COACH’s CORNER: The Crusaders continued their dominance of the league with two weeknight victories. On Tuesday, the Crusaders defeated league rival, And 1, 63-45. Everyone contributed points, with four — G, Z, L and M — in double figures. The M brothers had their best games of the season. P (6 pts., 4 rebs, 3 steals and 2 assists) hustled all over the court to make steals, save balls, and get fast breaks going. M had a double-double (13 pts., 13 rebs.). GM accented the victory with the first in-game dunk by a Crusader in at least 5 years! On Wednesday, the Crusaders defeated the Saints in a spirited and fun game. C S led the way with 12 pts., 9 rebs. CR grabbed 9 rebs. as well.
The Crusaders, now 6-0, have double-headers Sunday and Tuesday as the season winds up in flurry. Sunday they face Leo’s team at 9:00 a.m., while the Saints return for a grudge match at 12:45 (both at Ventura High). The Saints also play twice Sunday, the first game against Pam’s Team at 10:15 a.m.
